A promise to honor God with your body and your life. To refuse to give your body to anyone that hasn't paid the price for you called marriage. It's a promise to stay pure before God in EVERY single way. It's a promise that says, I won't test the boundaries in my relationship to see how far I can push it sexually--but instead--I want God to have my heart.
 
It's a promise to God that you will honor your marriage convenant. It's saying that I promise not to step outside of my marriage, cheat on my spouse and that I'll work through every issue.

how to deal with "friends" ?

Hello lovely people!!! :)
I've recently have came across the stage that I don't want to be bothered or just want to keep to myself...because I have came to the time in life ,where u feel that friends are always your "friend" .

I try to compromise on just being nice, but some people take my kindness for weakness. Im the sweetest person ever, I have a big heart. But it just seems that people just take you for a joke or even for granted.

Long story short.....
How can I deal with people that just don't care about what your going through ? How can I just stop being so nice ? When I'm living for God and don't want to do the same they do to me ? Help :(

They are not really your friends. This means that it's time to move on out from among them. If they can't be there for you it is time to go. Either you move or you will see them moving out of your life because God moved them out. I would suggest that you pray to God also about the situation. You can still be kind to them for Jesus was kind to his enemies.

There are times in life where you must shift your space. As you grow and mature, people who you previously associated with may not, and it's at that time where you must make a decision. If they are willing to grow with you, then help them along the way. But if they refuse to grow, and are trying to bring you back down to their level, then it's time to cut them off. I have learned that sometimes you have to be selfish. There are times when it's either you or them. Either you are going to allow them to choke the life out of your spirit, or you're going to rearrange your space and clear those people from your circle. Ultimately, the choice is up to you. And if you are sincere about it, tell God your problem, and ask Him to give you the strength, and wisdom to make the right choice.

I LOVE it. God had me to cut off a friend of mine that I had been close to for 9 years. Flesh put up a fight, but guess what? We're no longer friends. I think that people who are with you during your transition, during the point where God is processing you, molding you, THOSE are the lifetime friends. The rest of them are fly-by-nighters, seasonal people...

hi,

My suggestion would be to pray to God and ask him to reveal, heal and give you the strength and wisdom about the individuals in your life that you call your friends.

I give a lot to my friendships/relationships but it is not always reciprocated, so often times i found myself asking God, how do i know that i am being made a fool and when i am being obedient to the word.

I had a friend that all she did was take, take, and take but never gave to me. we were friends for 19 years and i cut her off and havent looked back since.

once you pray about it, accept God answer and trust in it. You have the best friend of all (jesus).

Always be nice and cordial but dont be anyone's fool. Trust me, God knows the difference

Yes I know exactly what you mean, I'm just going yo continue to pray about it . I ask God to send me some loyal friends,that's not wrong right ? . And also it just hurt my feelings that they don't respect me nor me & my fiances relationship....i can go on and on LOL, but I really love what you said. You said a mouthful! Thanks for the advice!

Yeah I had to learn that about people but I had to learn it the hard way. I ended up having to cut a lot of people back. Sometimes it's not about them it's about you and God. Always remember God never disappoints you, people do.
